Are you focusing on all the reasons why losing weight is really hard for you?
Are you focusing on why it’s not possible that you could actually have a little free time for you?
Are you focusing on why you’re stuck in the job that’s making you miserable forever?
Without realizing, you may be putting a lot of effort focusing on why what you want isn’t possible.
In this episode, I share 2 important questions to ask when you feel stuck. Don’t waste energy holding yourself back from the life that’s available to you!

Hey life booster. This is Dr. Amelia health coach and veterinarian here to help you ditch yo-yo dieting people pleasing and perfectionism by breaking the norm and living a life that energizes you from within today. I am going to share a couple of questions to get you thinking about your current circumstances and where you are in life. Right. Because there's an amazing thing that can happen when you just get a little shift in perspective, or sometimes just a couple of questions can be all that you need to start moving forward. And that's what I want for you. I never want you to feel stuck. I always want you to feel like you have options. And you are finding the next step forward that really energizes you and helps you to feel in control so important in life. Right? So all of us, I think have a tendency to focus on what we don't like right. With our current circumstances. So for example, Right now, are you thinking like, I want to lose weight? I don't want to be so busy. I don't want to be stuck in my job. It's very easy to point out all the things that we don't like with our current circumstances. Right. Like for me, I didn't want to be having crippling stomach aches. I, I didn't want to be stressed all the time. I didn't want to feel like I hated my job every day and like my entire profession that I had chosen, but those questions really made me feel very defeated and they made me feel. So today, I want to encourage you anywhere where you are feeling like you're not loving your current situation. What do you want instead? And I want you to get very specific. Okay. So if you don't like the weight that you are right now, I don't want you to just say I want to be 20 pounds. What does that look like to you? Okay. So why do you want to be 20 pounds lighter? What is the significance of that? Do you want to love the way that you feel when you are trying on clothes? Do you want to feel lean now? You don't want to feel bloated all the time. And what would that mean for you? How would that change your life? So if when you got dressed in the morning, you felt comfortable and lean, how would that impact the way that you showed up for the rest of the day? Would you be more confident? What'd you have more energy. Do you have a little bit more of a pep in your step? Would that even change the way that you walked into a room? Would you carry yourself a little bit taller? How would that impact the interactions that you had with others in your job? If you're feeling stuck with where you are, what do you want instead? So, as a veterinarian, if I didn't like my current situation of, the current schedule or the number of appointments that I was having, or the interactions that I was having with my clients or the time that I had with my patients, how did I want that to be different? Like, what were the details or, maybe in this profession, I wasn't even here. What would a different profession look like? What are the things in a job that would help me to feel really energized and happy and content let's look at your relationship with food. You know, if you don't want to have sugar cravings, then what do you want instead? So if you don't want to walk into the break room and see donuts and just immediately cave and have one and then feel really guilty or uncomfortable in your body afterwards, and kind of beat yourself up all day or spiral and be like, well, I've already had one donut. I'm just gonna, you know, if could have some cookies and this day is just kind of a loss. So, tomorrow, I'll try to be. What do you want instead? So do you want to walk into a break room and just have enough willpower that you are able to say? No. Or what, if you could walk into the break room and see the donuts and you just truly didn't want. Is that the difference, right? Like, do you want to just be so set on your diet or do you want to just be so disciplined that you're able to say no and resist it or do you just not want to want the donuts in the first place? That's a big difference. Because the way that you approach all of these things is different depending on what you want. Right? If you just want to walk into a break room and have willpower, then if you find a diet that you. Really care about, or maybe if like the next month you are just like committed to that, then sure. That might be the approach to use. But if you just want to walk in and if you don't want to crave those donuts anymore, if you truly didn't want them, then that's going to be a much different approach. It really getting to the root of why you're having those cravings and why you're having those thoughts about the donuts and what that means in the first place. Right. Or with weight loss, if you want to be 20 pounds lighter. How do you feel at that weight? Like how do you want to feel? Do you want to feel really energized and strong and in control? And what does the rest of your life look like? Are you eating foods that you really love? You're feeling totally satisfied or are you. Willing to have that weight loss, but to not have a lot of energy or to feel deprived or to just be sticking to just like the food that you're allowed to have. These are important things to really make sure that the approach to get there is consistent with what you want. And that's the next question? So the first is what do I want? And really take time to journal about this. I really encourage you to really write as many details as possible. What does that different scenario look like to you? And then I want you to ask, how can I make this happen? Because instead of just feeling stuck and feeling like I've always had a sweet tooth. Like this is never going to change. I wish that this was different. Those are statements and thoughts that make you feel really stuck. How can you make that happen? How could you overcome that sweet tooth? How could it be possible that you could walk into the break room and truly not want those donuts really getting curious? That is how you can move forward. How could I make it happen? That I don't feel stuck in my job anymore? How could I make it happen? That I moved on and became a health coach. You know, these were the questions that really helped me to stop feeling stuck and to start moving forward. And that's what I want to encourage you to do today. So regardless of where you are feeling stuck, what do you mean. do you know what you want instead of your current circumstance? It's a really important first place to start. And then getting curious, how can you make this happen? So remember there are lots of different approaches when it comes to health and nutrition and wellness. How do you want. To approach your wellness journey. How do you want it to be different from all the things that you've tried in the past? Look at what you've tried and how can you try something new that is going to get you into a whole new place that is going to be sustainable so that you don't keep falling back to your current circle. Those are the questions that I want to leave you with. And I always want to provide options for how you can move forward. I'm big on always moving forward and creating the sustainable life that you want. The one that energizes you from within the one that just lights you up. Like in the morning, I can't wait to get out of bed because I'm excited about living my life. Even on the DS that are hard. There are parts of my life that really energized me because of the approach that I have taken now. And that's what I want for you. And I have three options for you right now. I can hope you really get curious about what you do want instead and how you could make that happen. How could you have this approach be different this time in a different. We can talk about that. The second option is my life boost troubleshoot guide. This is an amazing way. If you have really struggled with sugar cravings and yo-yo dieting, if you have struggled with weight loss your entire life, or right now, you're just. Not in a place that feels like you and you aren't really sure where to what you need to do to, to get out. Then use the troubleshoot. I'm going to help you really look at the aspects that are important. You're not going to be counting your calories. We're gonna get to the root of what's going on and how you can start to feel empowered and make changes that are going to get you results that feel really good to help you to create a lifestyle that you enjoy so that the weight as, um, wonderful side effect that phone. And then I also have my pre one month life who's challenged. I am going to send you one thing to focus on each Week. For, for. Well daily checking in with you, reminding you that you're also keeping you motivated and sharing little tidbits and questions and resources to help you to feel supported and to really help you to move forward and to continue to find the things in life that energize you, because regardless of what. You, your answer probably is to, what do I want instead? My guess is that at the root of that, you're feeling energized. Is there that having that good energy behind everything in life is so key, right? Those are the things that feel really. You don't want to be feeling drained by your current circumstances. You want to be getting energy and that's what I want to help you find. And so that one month challenge is just a way of starting to get a little bit of energy in a way that feels doable so that you can continue to move forward and create the life that energizes. Alright, so decide which of those sounds best to you? Take some time to reflect on both of these questions.
